I thought adjacency was one of the smart gameplay mechanics in supcom and I hope we see it in Sanctuary Shattered Sun too. Having to choose between spreading your base out to avoid losing a load of structures at the same time or putting them close together to feel the benefits was a tactical choice which could have far reaching consequences.

So, question, will we see similar adjacency bonuses in Sanctuary Shattered Sun?

And how will that work?
 
Other than the obvious, storage units increasing the output of generators and power generators reducing the power used, what other adjacency bonuses would people like to see?
 
I'm not sure what else I'd want to see, but one thing I would like to move away from the the grid issue. I.E. if I placed a powergen next to a factory in supcom is would have to have specific matching edges. I think that as long as there is a connected edge that should be sufficient.
 
Well the creator of supcom made put that mechanic to have more coherent base before that tester where putting building a bit everywhere. So now you have a trade off of putting more attention and been more vulnerable to high area of effect to have a more efficient base.

I just hope there’s a little more freedom. Like, as along as they’re touching it counts or maybe a spectrum of bonus so if it’s perfectly aligned it’s greater than if it’s a 50% of the side alignment.
