Silica is a real time strategy game which blends perfectly with first person shorter (FPS) elements in a superb and photorealistic battles. Having the option to switch playing in FPS mode makes the game very unique. Also, players can either take control on ground or command from above as humans or aliens in either RTS or FPS mode in the game.

I have no idea about Silica, never heard of it until now. But based on what I saw on the trailer this looks fascinating! How seamless do you think would be the switch between RTS and FPS modes? Do you think the humans and aliens will have distinct playstyles? Is the photorealism impactful or does it affect performance? I am curious to know how it balances these unique elements.

It's quite very smooth from what I've seen so far. Even a review about the game done on IGN have high positive points to mention about the game. The bugs which tries to eat you when playing the game are well designed and they look very nasty.

Do you mean on trailers, or do you have early access to the game? By the way, I feel that cross genre games can sometimes be really fascinating.

At the moment, Silica is available for purchase only in its Early Access form. It's sold on Steam at the price of $15.99. The developers would have released the full game but they want to ensure the game meets quality expectation witch have led to it being postponed now.

Well, when I see the concept of the game , it tells me that it is a combination of real time strategy game and also first person shooter and this I must tell you it sounds very interesting. In actuality, this is what added to the gameplay experience.
