The developers are working hard on the demo and they have released gameplay footage that is more up to date!

It is looking really good so far, a little rough around the edges but it's not bad looking either!

They posted the gameplay footage on their Twitter (X) or you can see it below

There Isn't much to see but it does hype things up.
For a game which is at least a year and maybe even two from release I think it’s awesome we get to see what we get to see.

The developers are putting in a lot of work in this game's development. It's a lot of work and they know not to rush it. From the lots so far, it's setting up to be a very good strategy game.

Even if it's a small update, I think it's awesome to see how much work has been put into the game so far and seeing any progress is a good thing when it comes to any games, especially ones that were backed on Kickstarter. I've seen a few different games never go anywhere after being backed on a crowdfunding site, I don't see Sanctuary being one of those however.

The honest truth is that they can't do everything at once and rushing things is definitely not going to go well for them with the game. There have never been a game that was rushed in development which came out good. They know exactly what they are doing and I applaud them for it.

I did check it out then. Personally I think the game is just ready, why wait till next year? But of course I’m not a developer, hence it is easy for me to say.

When we take a look at these clips we are seeing, I will admit that it does seem as though the game is ready but as a developer, I would guess even though everything looks in place there are more than likely still bugs and things they want to add which is why the wait is as long as it is :)

Definitely going to be worth the wait seeing the clips we are seeing now :)

It really isn't. 4 month ago we had live QnA on discord server and at the end, Nine2 and Special_Bread fought in 1v1. Air we have not seen any air units in use. Building/unit production UI was very simple, assist abbility was not implemented, you couldn't even continue construction of a building if you stop the egnineer. Tech development with special tech buildings was not implemented yet. Guard/EDA commanders can not attack, balance is not existent yet. Many of the non-core units do not exist too/not working. None of the assist units like mobile drone launchers/shields/stealth is implemented. Basically, a lot of secondary stuff that is vital to fun gameplay is not finished yet, or at least was not by that time. And Of course, bugs. First their game was fine, but second one was pure chaos. They started spawning stuff to save time, and half the stuff stopped working properly. Turrets missing the targets by kilometers out of their range, shells instead of hitting units falling under the map, random t1 EDA tank just launched itself sideways at mach 1 over hills and mountains, and both of the games ended prematurely because of losing connection.

They did a lot of job, but still a lot of it has to be done to just reach the playable state, and even more to get the desirable state they want

I can remember how fans pushed for Cyberpunk 2077 to be released when it wasn't ready and the developers fell for it. The game came out as a big disaster. The same thing can't happen with Shattered Sun. Yes, the developers have been doing a lot lately to get everything working as they should but it's not yet ready to be released/launched. If a game isn't ready, I will never be in support of having it rushed for any reason whatsoever.
