How to find people to play RTS games?

How do you find people to play RTS video games with? Do you find them on forums, playing the game? through discord groups? I think the best way is to play the game itself, but another good way is to search discord groups to find players to play with.

Most games with multiplayer features usually has an in-game community where you can easily find other players and even chat with them if you want to. Another option would be through forums like this.

I think Reddit and Discord are a good platforms to connect with like minded gamers. You can find a lot of people to play with. You can even try Steam Forums and game specific communities.

These days you can find communities for a lot of games. A lot of people like to use Discord. You just need to find a server. Try to browse through Redit and you might find a joining link.
