Did anyone play Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak? It's a RTS game that is set in a desert planet which is also a prequel to the Homeworld series. The game's mechanics is based on a ground based battle system which have a very compelling storyline.

For those who managed to play Deserts of Kharak, how would you compare and rate the game with today's modern RTS games?
 
Homeworld's signature 3D battles, where ships fly and maneuver in a vertical space, is an interesting feature in the game, which beats even the modern RTS games. Homeworld Desert of Kharak puts emphasis on strategic planning and tactical execution giving us better gameplay experience compared to some modern RTS games that are heavily depended on on micro-management.
