How Do I Create Custom Maps for Supreme Commander?

I like Supreme Commander so much that I always want to create my own custom map. I think about being able to design islands, mountains and secret facilities. But, I'm stuck. I have searched online but it is confusing.

Can someone help me figure out how to do it?

The map editor provides various templates such as a flat terrain, a mountainous landscape, or a water-dominated map. You can use the terrain editing tools to shape the landscape, create features like hills, valleys, and rivers, and adjust the elevation.

I've made maps too, so I can help the best way I could. To start with, download the Supreme Commander Map Editor. It is used to construct maps. It’s better to start in an easy way like a hill, a lake or a road. Then add some cool things like forests and rivers. YouTube offers some of the most awesome tutorials to help. You can check out some videos.

For me, I think it’s best to use the Forged Alliance Forever map editor. It's super easy and fun. They have great guides and videos to make things easier. I made some really cool ones. For assistance, you can visit FAF’s website.
