Many people have a gift for improving playing video games just by playing them and nothing more, but other people need to analyze your games to be able to improve or look at other people's games, in your case, what have been your methods to improve your skills in this type of video games?

To be honest I am still trying to improve my skills in RTS gaming, I think one of the best ways to improve your skills would be through constant playing. The more you play, the more understanding you get about how RTS works.

Practice makes you perfect, right? Well, this rule also applies to gaming, including RTS games. The more you play, the better you become. If you are stuck, you can also go to online communities like Reddit to get help

Reddit was pretty useful when I started playing Realtime Strategy games. I was able to learn a lot about some aspects of Age of Empires 2, for example, by sourcing for information on Reddit. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to become better at playing rts games.

Like with anything, practice (and a bit of research). @Vortex posted an excellent video series about Supreme Commander:

I found the @Vortex video really helpful as it came at the time that I was really struggling to adapt to playing this game, and it helped such much!
