Do you think RTS will be popular in +20 years?

As most of us know, RTS have been in decline for some time after their peak years ago, the question then is, do you think that in more than 20 years RTS games will still be popular or will they continue to decline and barely release games of this genre? I believe that a great comeback is coming.

To be honest I don't think so, the only way RTS games can be popular in twenty years time or less is if more awareness are made about the importance of RTS games. There are so many people who do not know what RTS games are.

In the early 2000, RTS games were very popular but then they went into hibernation for a long time. Now they have made a comeback and I see the popularity is rising, I believe RTS games will continue to be popular 20 years from now, or even longer.

Yes, if it will continue to improve, then of course it can even be more popular than now.

There is a rising interest from the gaming community about the rts genre and it is just matter of time before we can see more and more players pushing to get involved.

I don't think RTS will fade away just like that. Even though it has experienced a decline in popularity, there's still a good chunk of people who love the genre. So it think it will continue to gain recognition in the coming decades.

The simple truth is that RTS games isn't as popular as those AAA games. I believe that their popularity have declined over the years but they never went out completely. I believe that it's still going to be around in 20+ years to come since they are moving away from historical RTS games design to modern day war designs.
