Halo Wars was one of the first RTS games I enjoyed playing, mainly because it was console based so I didn't have to worry about buying a compatible laptop to play. I usually play it on Xbox 360
Though the game leaned on the simpler side compared to most competitive RTS, it was suitable for people who are just getting introduced into the RTS genre.
I didn't play Halo Wars 2, though I heard it is just as good as the first.
