Dark Reign: The Future of War

Overshadowed by Total Annihilation on release way back in 1997, Dark Reign was actually a solid title and, in my very humble opinion, a better game than TA. (Don't @ me, bro!)

One feature that was far superior to anything in TA was customisable unit behaviours. Players could set units to patrol, defend, or pursue enemies autonomously. It's a shame it didn't get the critical or commercial acclaim that Total Annihilation did.

Naw man, Total Annihilation was far, far better. I mean, I liked Dark Reign when I played it long after release but TA still holds up now. DR not so much.
