When it comes to the best game that makes you build structures in different kinds of ways you like, Minecraft is probably the best option. This game allows you to experiment your creative building with so many blocks.

I also agree that the best creative building game is Minecraft, other good games of this type are Terraria and Starbound among others.
 
I totally agree that Minecraft is good for creative building. However, Terraria is also worth considering if you are really looking to explore a more relaxed building experience.
 
Any sims game, or mimecraft really. There is also RPG maker if you wish to make a simple and basic old school RPG game.
 
I love Minecraft any time, any day. It's so much fun to build and explore at the same time. I also like Roblox because its so interesting to create my own games and share them with my friends. Building and creating is the best part of gaming for me.

If you don't mind a mores simpler game, Disney dream light valley might be up your alley with its world building.
