I’m beginning to think that computers can actually think like us because artificial Intelligence (AI) makes games much more smarter. To be honest here, I have seen AI help computers make units move and it's very realistic. This made me curious and I need to ask, what cool AI features would you like to see in your favorite RTS games?

For me, I’ve always loved to play against the smart computers. Of course, the AI opponents build cool bases and it always surprise me with some cool tricks too, but I've always pick one or two things to learn form it to help me improve. Basically, I've learnt some pretty cool strategies from StarCraft II's AI.

I would like to see the opponents to learn from their mistakes and adapt to different strategies. I think this kind of adaptive AI will be really cool in RTS games. I would also love to see a feature that can guess players moves and plant counter measures. Predictive AI feature would also be great in RTS games.

AI has assisted me in learning new tactics in so many games. AI has helped me with resources, suggests builds, and it goes as far as explaining the gameplay. But I'm not saying you shouldn't use your own brain too. It's crucial to balance AI help and your own skill.

Honestly, I see AI as an opportunity for this genre of video games, it could make the battles more dynamic, make the map more interesting and with more possibilities and many more things that AI can enhance, I think AI can do a lot of good to the RTS games.

I imagine that AI will help with game development; that is what I want because any good game takes years to develop. AI can shorten it significantly.
