Will there be a veterency system like what there is in supcom so a unit which kills loads gets a HP boost and /or weapon strength increase?

On one hand it makes it like you wanna keep your veteran units alive, but that said I think only experimentals are not considered 'throw away'. Even T3 is some kida meat shield really.

The other way to look at it is that veterancy isn't observable. You might look at a T3 tank and aniticipate it'll die after a certain amount of hits or can hit *this* hard but veterancy changes that, it changes expectations and there's a bit of unknown about it.

Which way will Sanctuary: Shattered Sun go?

This has always been one of my issues with veterancy.

Communicating information to the player is important. Players make decisions based on the information they get from the game. It does not feel fun losing a fight because units do not perform as expected.

Developers said no veterancy in Sanctuary exactly because of reason you highlighted

There’s no real value in trying to reduce attrition. At least with a veterancy system you had a reason for pulling units back from certain death.

Like, yea, there was a reason, but trying to do it would do only harm most of the time with anything else than your ACU, early t2 fleet, t3 fleet, very early t3 land and all of t4. Doing better macro to get 2 tanks is better than saving 1 for longer.

Like random guy says the last time they talked about it. It was a no to veterancy.
It's not set but don't expect it

well for ennemy that got veteranted you put a little simbole for each level. maybe even if they get veterancy they could gain weapons and visual changes

No veterancy in Sanctuary, because it is something you can't see and it can easily change the result of the battle that you could not predict. So many times ACIs in supcom were able to survive because of veterancy level in last moment, and so developers don't want it

well that s why the unit logo should change a little bit when it get veterancy. Like it get little points or bars

Veterancy on most units wouldn't do much anyway, just extra different icons nobody needs, and it still won't allow you to predict when units gets one

Btw, we are ignoring the biggest problem with this thing, how can a unit that has no human pilot even get veterancy? And how can it change the structure of the unit? And if it is possible to achieve, why not do a copy of max veterancy unit AI and put it in every other unit of same type?

The typical vet bonus of extra HP and/or regen is really an abstraction for better command and control - try not to think of it as 'more' armor or anything so direct. There are other ways it could be adapted to provide more subtle value rather than that. For example, in LOUD, veterancy adds to unit cap, so a Commander, who husbands his units carefully, and attains vet levels for his troops will be able to command a slightly larger unit cap. HP bonuses are not the only alternatives. There are other choices.
