Oh, thought BD was for brain dance 
I rarely read fiction. But I recently started listening to audio books. I guess that counts?
Currently "reading" books from the series "Die neunte Expansion". It's a german sci-fi series, as shared universe, so the books are telling different stories from different authors. It's an interesting universe. I found the first book "Eine Reise alter Helden" to be especially good. Though I think there are no english translations.
If it comes to books in english language: That's already a few years back. I think the last one has been "The Last Assassin" from Barry Eisler. Very good writing, I was hooked when reading it.
The only english sci-fi book I've read is the first Mass Effect book, Revelation. I was a huge Mass Effect fan back then, liking the universe, and I remember the book as fun to read. It was good, but also nothing too special. And as I rarely take the time to read fictional book, I did not continue the series.

well last book i read was from a serie called "mage" wich is a fantastical serie about mages in a world with each book having 2 autors and 2 artist making it. there is also other series like "nain", "elfes", "ork et goblin" who are also in the same univers and made by the same company. The stories are the best with deep caracter, plot and beautifull drawing. i have 40-50 books of them at homeOh, thought BD was for brain dance

I'm a deep diver into sci-fi books. Space Opera. Epic universes. My favourite author is Iain M. Banks. Consider Phlebas is an excellent read.

Luca from Franck Thiller a classic triller in France where a Familly rent the belly of a woman to have a child and we follow the murder of the woman a little after the birth of the child. A good enough book nothing special.
Hmm my favorite series I would say Overlord a Japanese novel. I think they made a anime of it. The humor and the world building in the book is just right for me.
As a bonus my favorite book is The Prince from Nicolo Machiaveli. The perspective of end justify the means and the absurdity of history is music to my ear.
