One thing I loved about Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance was the levels where conflict took place. Orbital satellites, strategic bombers, air superiority fighters, torpedo bombers, surface ships, tanks and bots, submarines. So many levels where the fight took place. I hope beyond hope that Sanctuary: Shattered Sun gives us a similar experience.

The only issue at the moment is the lack of (confirmed) navy. You’ll have strategic bombers, you’ll get ASFs, you’ll have gunships and interceptors, and then ground forces. You have to consider the budget for supcom was huge, something in the region of $10 million, with a team of hundreds. Sanctuary doesn’t have that.

But still, the Kickstarter is likely to be a success, right? I mean, I appreciate the future of the game rests on it's success but there is already a huge amount of support for Sanctuary. I can't see how this could fail.

I feel it is great that they are saying the Kickstarter will be a success even this early on, it shows they are positive about their game and that people believe in them as well.

Seeing what we saw in games such as Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance would be amazing to see in a game such as Shattered Sun but I feel it will be time before we see that to even the extent we saw it in those games.

I know that navy is a goal dependent on the Kickstarter being successful, but even without there is still a huge depth to this. The amount of units spread over several tech levels is already going to be complex.
