Should children be allowed to play horror games?

Horror games can sometimes give an adult the chills, let alone little children. Do you think it is a good idea to let them play, considering the fact that it can have a profound effect on them psychologically speaking?

Should they be restricted from horror games till they get older?

Children can be easily frightened by horror games. So, they should not play horror games. It can cause them to have a very weird nightmares. They could dream of being pursued or even chased, then they might wake up feeling terrified.

Generally I say no, but if the child is pretty mature and can handle that kind of stuff, then sure?

No! Horror video games are creepy and many of them have porn and nude scenes. It's not what kids are supposed to be exposed to at their young age.
