Is Supreme Commander still worth playing today?

For someone who's yet to play Supreme Commander, do you think it's an RTS game that's still worth playing for any gamers?

Supreme Commander was released in 2007, with all the advancements in RTS development, do you think it will deliver on good user experience going back to play this game?
