How Do I Micro-Manage Units for Better Performance in Supreme Commander?

I was able to micro manage my units on other games but I don't know why I get it wrong in supreme commander. I just want to get the most out of it so that I can triumph in battle. I watched a playthrough but I couldn't understand a thing because the player was just too fast.

Can anyone share the tips my units?

I'd advice you to place your focus on one unit at a time. Trying to manage every unit at a time can be tasking, especially for someone just starting out. So to maximize effectiveness, try to organize units into smaller groups and focus on building each one.

Micro-management is very essential. So my advice to you is to focus on small groups of units, and not use your whole army. Keep units grouped into type, for instance, tanks or planes. Also, use the terrain to your advantage by hiding and ambushing. This strategy should put you ahead.

For me, I use the unit stances like aggressive, defensive, or passive stances. They can totally change gameplay for good. I use aggressive for bold attacks, defensive for protecting bases, and passive for stealthy.
