How Do I Improve My Starting Strategy in Supreme Commander?

Supreme Command is one of my go-to games, especially when I need to transport myself from reality. But I haven't really mastered the game as I get stucked in the starting strategy. It’s absolutely zero. I want to able to build a very powerful base and crush my enemies so hard. Your tips on how to improve my starting strategy are highly needed. Thanks

Well, isn't that sad? You have not even started defeating your opponents, you have not built a powerful base yet, you are still struggling with starting strategy?

Well, my advice for you is - don't rush into battle, but always strive to focus on gathering resources first. What I do is quite simple. I build scouts to spy on the bad guys. Also, whenever I want to expand , I do it wisely too.

I’ll advise you to also think about map control. What I'm saying is you need to use the 'Protect and Serve' strategy. This is when you build defensive towers around your base and making sure to upgrade your resource gathering tech.
