How Do I Expand My Base Efficiently in Supreme Commander?

As we all know, commanders should be able to expand their base efficiently. Well, this is not the case for me. I’m still struggling to understand how I can expand my base well enough. This has made my opponents win me in battles almost every time I play.

To expand your base, it requires a lot of planning. You should start by scouting nearby resources and claiming them as well. You can expand your base in stages and also prioritise the key buildings like factories and research facilities.

Put logistics into consideration. It's crucial to efficiently connect your base with transport routes and logistics structures. So, what you need to do is try to upgrade resource-gathering structures in order to increase efficiency.
