How Do I Choose the Right Faction for My Playstyle in Supreme Commander?

I’m relatively new to Supreme Commander and it’s so overwhelming and I couldn't figure out the right faction to use. UEF, Cybran, Aeon, and Seraphim are all cool but which one do you think works well for a beginner. I just don't want to lose on the battlefield. Help me out!

I want you to try UEF because it's so balanced and you can also use Cybran for its stealthy nature. But I will want you to think about your playstyle first. So you can experiment with different factions, it is allowed and you can definitely switch if need be.

I don't think there's enough of a difference between the three/four factions to make much of a difference really. It's one of the only drawbacks on the game. The factions are fairly symmetrical. There's not a huge difference between them.

 

[Overlord]

It's very essential to consider the pace of your gameplay. If you're aggressive, then the Cybran's fast units will be just too perfect. But if you are a strategic player, Aeon's advanced tech would work like a charm for you.

 

[Havoc]

As @Al said, they are all so similar that you can pick any and go. However, you should check to see what your gameplay style is like and exp;lore the slight differences between the factions so you can pick one that aligns better with your style.
