Graphical fidelity and realistic art styles have become hallmarks of the modern gaming experience. Developers today often prioritize systems like DLSS and FSR – technologies that, while revolutionary, introduce challenges for the industry. These systems allow games to be stripped of unique identity and charm, all in the pursuit of more visually stunning experiences. This trend has led many AAA games to feel similar and lacking in originality. Indie games, on the other hand, tend to avoid this issue by focusing on the presentation and unique feel of their games, as demonstrated in Eduard Permyakov’s recent RTS title, EVERGLORY. With its newly released demo currently still available following Steam Fest, the game fully showcases a unique and whimsical art style, that is unlike any other.

I agree with that; I have seen so many gamers get bored of the AAA games. Of course, they are big-budget games but can sometimes start to look the same and bored the players. I’ve also started to play more of the Indie games. They are synonymous with unique styles like EVERGLORY.

The indie games have gone past the we perceived it. They now have cool stories that make gaming very addictive. EVERGLORY has also tapped into that magical style and you'll get get lost in the adventure. Taking control of the characters in the game is awesome. That's what you are expected to get in this game.

I was talking to the developer about this. AAA graphics do not make a fun game, far from it. Accessible gameplay is the priority for fun.
