Crab walkers legs

I'm new so please forgive if I'm making dumb suggestions, but would it be possible to upgrade their legs to be jumping, tunneling, even defensive depending on the situation?

devs said some walkers will be able to climb terrains. tunneling is a no go, we don t know anything about jumping and defensive bonus is also no go
