Challenges and difficulties in supreme commander

I am yet to play supreme commander, but I would love to give it a try one of these days. For those who have played this RTS game before, what where challenges during gameplay? Where there any specific missions you found a little hard to complete? I think knowing this might help me prepare a little more before I start playing.
