Age of Mythology Retold has something big on the horizon: a new mode called Arena of the Gods. 35 missions? Sounds like things are about to get more adventurous! I particularly believe that the incorporation of rewards for completing a mission can be what the players need to give it their all in missions.

Wow, kind of surprised they pack in so many missions, hopefully they all are unique and not copy cats of others.

You have my fears too. I hate when they have missions in games to be a cheap knock off repetition. It's not fun playing through that but I hope it's not the same with this.
