I would say the late 90s to early 2000s was the time to be alive for RTS gamers. There were quite a lot of fantastic games within a relatively short timeframe.
That said, I think the last 5 years have seen a resurgence.
What do you think?
You will agree with me that RTS games require way more intellectual exercise than the average first person shooter games.
Players often need to use their brains 100x more when playing games like AoE, Total Annihilation, Command and Conquer, etc than the other regular games.
So can we say that...
So I went for Spellforce 3 because the previous series did well, but after playing, to say I was disappointed is an understatement.
The RPG sections are so generic and boring, only filled with quests and choices that change nothing. Playing on difficulties hard and below is too easy the enemies...
I'm currently looking for games that are similar to Age of Empires where one can level up each individual units and equip them with gears.
Your recommendations will be highly appreciated.
Edit: I meant to say RPG not ROG. For some reason, I can't edit the thread title.
Okay this is not about how good or bad the games are. We are just talking about how cool, pleasant and catchy the titles sound when we hear them. You will agree with me that the title of a game can also play a major role in attracting people to it. So here's mine 👇
1. Sins of a Solar Empire
2...
ICBM: Escalation is a real-time strategy game developed by SoftMate. It's a spin-off of the popular game "Intercontinental Ballistic Missile." And it focuses on nuclear warfare, allowing players to design, build, and manage their nuclear arsenals.
Players can engage in single-player campaigns...
So for those players who are tired of 1v1 and team play, you can actually focus on FFA on the following games:
1. Beyond All Reason (up to 16 player FFA)
2. Sins of a Solar Empire 2 (10 player FFA)
3. StarCraft 2
4. StarCraft 3 Reforged
5. Age of Empires 4
Have you played FFA on any of these...
Yeah so I just realized how overpowered Gaia is with her army of heroes on the game. What's the most effective way to defeat them?
Someone suggested I should swarm them with human units and counter as hard as I can, is this advisable because I think Gaia can turn human soldiers into heroes...
Horror games can sometimes give an adult the chills, let alone little children. Do you think it is a good idea to let them play, considering the fact that it can have a profound effect on them psychologically speaking?
Should they be restricted from horror games till they get older?
The campaign feature is great, but the problem for me and most people out there is replayability potential. Campaign are played once and never again, but with multiplayer you can play multiple times with multiple people.
Besides, I don't know where people get the idea that gamers have more...
SC2 and RA2 are very interesting RTS games, but when it comes to personal opinion, one has to come first. Which one is it for you?
As for me, I love RA 2, especially the multiplayer campaign when I play with friends. But StarCraft has a lot of customs maps, not to mention the variety of mods...
What do you think of the commentary when playing games like eFootball, FIFA and Dream League Soccer?
I do enjoy them, so I can't afford to play without sound because it will take away the greater part of the fun.
I have the habit of skipping some cutscenes when they show up in games, especially when I feel they are not that necessary. But sometimes it makes me lose some vital information that may be helpful for me along the way.
Sometimes I will come across an unfamiliar storyline, but I wouldn't have...
